Common questions you may have

How long does it take to get started?
If you already have a site you would like maintained, it would take no more than 3 business days to have everything set up. If we are building your site, then there’s no waiting time.

Will I be locked into a long-term contract?
We don’t believe in long-term contracts and having our partners feeling trapped. We want you to stay with us because you see the value and choose to.

Are there extra fees?
We don’t like surprises, especially when it comes to money. And we know you don’t too. There is nothing extra to worry about. Site migrations when you start and end your plans are at no cost.

What to expect when signing up and starting on a plan?
We make onboarding easy and fast. You’ll have a dedicated project manager to meet in a Zoom call and guide you through our process. You’ll have you’re own Slack workspace as well.

What if I decide to cancel my plan?
We understand journeys change and only want to help as best we can while you’re with us. When you choose to cancel your plan, we’ll help you migrate your site to your new host and set everything up for you with no extra charge and within 3 business days.

Do we have to use your hosting?
We suggest using ours as it’s fast, reliable, and cost-effective and can better manage your server. Oh, and you do get your own server:) But if you choose to keep your hosting, that’s totally fine unless we feel it could be damaging to your website, in which case we’ll let you know.

How can I use my support hours?
You can use your support hours on everything from changing images or text on your website to adding blog posts or even new pages or features. While monthly hours don’t roll over, our annual plan offers the most flexibility by giving you an entire year to use your hours whenever and however you like throughout the calendar year.

How often are website updates performed in a maintenance plan?
We perform updates every day. Some updates, such as broken link scanning, cleaning your site’s database, and cleaning the cron, are needed less frequently, so we perform these tasks twice yearly.

How can I get help with my website?
You can email us anytime at (fastest option), schedule a zoom, or give us a call. Small changes are done within 1 business day. We’ll give you a quote and an ETA if more time is needed for your request.

What is your process for backing up my website data?
We make a manual full-site backup, including the files and database, once per month and store it in an off-site location. If you host with us, an automatic backup is made every 24 hours, and we still also make a manual backup once per month and store it in an off-site location for safekeeping.

Will my website be taken down for maintenance?
While there are rare occasions when certain updates cause your website to go down, our expert team is usually able to quickly resolve these types of issues and get your website back online fast. Our WooCommerce and High Velocity maintenance plans include a managed staging site, which means we make all backups on a clone of your website first to ensure everything goes according to plan before making changes to your live website.

Are there any limits on the number of requests I can make as part of my maintenance plan?
There is no limit to the number of requests you can make — up to 1, 2, or 3 hours of assistance with your website is included each month, depending on which plan you signed up for. If you need help thereafter, let us know, and we’ll get you a quote.

How do you handle security breaches and malicious attacks on my website?
While it’s rare for a website to get hacked, no website is 100% bulletproof. We go to great lengths to protect your site through state-of-the-art tools like firewalls, SSLs, whitelisting, and more. In the unlikely event your site is hacked despite these efforts, we’ll quickly patch up any vulnerabilities and clean any infected files, and/or quickly roll your site back to a backup.

What happens if I cancel my WordPress Website Care plan?
You can cancel anytime. Just let us know before your plan auto-renews, and we’ll make sure you’re not billed again. Please note maintenance plans are non-refundable.

Entry Assessment
The requirements for admitting a site into the Website Care Plan are that both the WordPress version and all themes and plugins of the site are up to date.

In most cases I will also first want to do an Entry Assessment. After submitting your application I will let you know whether it is necessary for your website. The Entry Assessment is billed separately at €300-€500 depending on the site and it does not guarantee admittance into the Plan.

If entry to the Website Care Plan is approved, I will discount half of the Entry Assessment Fee.

If the website is being or has been developed by Web Kit, there is of course no need for the Entry Assessment.
